You know the rules — the best seven hitters over the last seven days.
Many teams are off tonight, which is normally the case on Mondays, but the slate tonight on Draftkings seems even lesser with only six games. That shouldn’t stop us from trying to make some money, and may even help us narrow down the best options. Without further ado, let’s get right into the best spend up, value, and stacks for tonight.
I’m sure many baseball fans were convinced that Tyler Glasnow’s season was over when they heard he left the game Friday night with forearm tightness in his throwing arm. There were many armchair doctors on Twitter and other social media sites who had him diagnosed with all sorts of ailments, without any medical testing or knowledge of what they were talking about.

Welcome back to 7&7. I’ll be filling in for Supi this week, so you don’t have to worry about any Game of Thrones’ spoilers since I’ve never seen an episode. Let’s get into it.
Back at it again for tonight’s huge 13-game main slate. Last night was kind of a wash for me, but tonight is where we get back full-fledged in the win column. Or at least I hope. Let’s take a look at who we can target tonight.
Although fans and players criticized teams for making the hot stove barely lukewarm, every team made some sort of move in the off-season. Some were massive, some barely made a splash. Let’s look at how every team’s biggest acquisition fared after the first month of the season.
Once considered the unanimous top pitching prospect in baseball, Lucas Giolito entered 2019 off the fantasy radar. The lack of interest in Giolito was justified, as his career has been marred by injuries and disappointment. He finished 2018 with a lackluster 16.1 K%, 11.6 BB%, 6.13 ERA, 1.48 WHIP, 5.46 xFIP, 5.37 SIERA, and 8.3 SwStr%. However, the Chicago White Sox are a rebuilding team and they allowed Giolito to pitch through his struggles. This decision appears to be paying dividends early on in 2019.
Anthony DeSclafani is currently carrying a 10.45 K/9, paired with a 27.7% strikeout rate, which is both career highs. His velocity is the highest of his career (94.2) and almost up 1 mph, while he has drastically decreased his hard-hit rate to 33.8%, which is down 8% from last season. But while his numbers indicate he is pitching to his peripherals (3.48 ERA, 4.28 FIP, 4.39 xFIP), his career stats show he is not pitching to his potential.

Technically, the MLB season started in March, but I thought it would be a good idea to do a review at the end of April. On March 28, the Chicago Cubs won their opening day game in Texas against the Rangers. Then proceeded to lose their next six games. During those six games, the pitching staff allowed 55 runs. That equals an opposing run per game average of over 9. Brutal. God awful. All hell was about to break loose in Chicago.
On Tuesday night, CC Sabathia became just the 17th pitcher of all-time to reach the 3,000 career strikeout plateau. Striking out a former battery mate in Diamondbacks’ John Ryan Murphy, who was a backup catcher for the Yankees from 2013-15, for his 3,000th strikeout, Sabathia further made his case for the Hall of Fame. Sabathia is the first pitcher since John Smoltz in 2008 to reach the milestone.
