The Philadelphia 76ers are 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference, with their star-studded lineup. The Brooklyn Nets are 6th seed in the Eastern Conference, led by All-Star, D’Angelo Russell.
Team Giannis led by as many as 19, but Damian Lillard and Kawhi Leonard brought Team LeBron back before Kevin Durant closed out the game with some crucial threes to give Team LeBron the win for the second straight year. What we did see was still madness though, and Mike Fanelli and I have decided to break it down for you, trade by trade. This is the first part of a four-part series where we’ll go over each of the 22 trades made this week, providing commentary and our own personal grades for each team’s involvement in each move. The Los Angeles Clippers squared off against the Charlotte Hornets. Los Angeles would come away with the 117-115 victory thanks to a Tobias Harris buzzer beater. Harris would have 34 points while going 13-of-21 from the field as well as making six three-pointers.
Then, Tobias Harris got traded to Philadelphia…
The Boston Celtics are coming off an undefeated week in which they went 4-0. Kyrie Irving has just been phenomenal and Jaylen Brown has really stepped up off the bench. Celtics have won 4 straight games.
As a basketball fan, I’ve always found the NBA All-Star Weekend to be one of the more interesting times of the year. It allows me to watch the top talents of the league play without putting me in a position to seriously root for or against either team. It puts all of the league’s best players in a one-game situation where it’s the best of the best against the best of the best. It immortalizes otherwise-forgotten players such as Jason Kapono and Jeremy Evans through the Three-Point Contest and the Slam Dunk Contest. But perhaps the most important thing it does is recognize, in a semi-official capacity, who the best standout performers in the NBA are in any given season.
As the All-Star weekend approaches, I wanted to tell you which players deserve to be in the All-Star game who didn’t get the votes they should have. I will select one player from the Western Conference and one player from the Eastern Conference and want to hear who you guys think deserves an All-Star spot that is not getting the votes they should be getting.
This week on player spotlight we are taking a closer look at another Clipper player who should be getting All-Star consideration this season Tobias Harris. The 26-year-old dual threat forward out of Tennessee is having a career season in his 8th season in the league.
If it is possible for an NBA conference to be drunk (and hey, this season has not exactly been short of bizarre moments), then the West, in all its drama and unpredictability, is absolutely plastered at the moment. With a mere 6.5 games separating the top fourteen teams, everyone besides the pitiful Phoenix Suns look set to contend for the eight postseason spots. There have been shocks galore and, with the standings so close, almost every game out west is highly-entertaining.

This team plays with a lot of heart, led by Patrick Beverly’s defense, Tobias Harris and Lou Williams’ offense; they have been finding ways to win games.
