Two Teams That Could Surprise In 2019
Baseball season is officially here. Everybody knows the teams that will contend for the postseason, but it is a long 162 game season, and there could be some surprise teams.

Every passionate fan base has a stereotype. But it’s not always the same from sport to sport in a given
Corey Seager is just 24-years old and has a very bright future in the Major League. He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina. Seager made his MLB debut September 3rd, 2015, with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Opening Day has finally arrived. The Los Angeles Dodgers are starting there season at home against there divisional rivals, the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The free agent process for almost every free agent, most notably Manny Machado and Bryce Harper, was mentally painful. Painful for the players wanting to get paid, painful for the owners and general managers trying to lure free agents to there team, and painful for fans eagerly waiting to see where their favorite player may end up.
Knee injuries are a tough injury for athletes and an even tougher injury for the fan to understand. In light of the recent devastating injury to Steven Souza Jr. I thought an explanation of the knee anatomy, might help fans understand the injury he has sustained and the long road to recovery he is facing. In addition, I hope this will be a good place for fans of other sports, besides baseball, to refer to for a better understanding of the injury when another player they follow gets injured.
Welcome back to part two of my “Players who are likely to break out in 2019” series. For this article, I will be giving one player for each team that I think will have a breakout season. The list will go in alphabetical order so that it’s easier to find your team. Also, if I mentioned someone in part one, they will not be mentioned again in part two. I will link part one at the bottom of the article if you would like to take a look.
It’s Eloy season! White Sox fans were teased and tortured with Manny Machado rumors and speculation all off-season. Management made it sound like they really had a seat at the table. The fact of the matter is they did, but they didn’t put the necessary chips down to land Machado. At any rate, there are still a few key young guys to get excited over. What will the 2019 season have in store for the Chicago White Sox?
If we are being honest, all I have to do is say “yikes” and that would be my preview of this team. Just an absolutely terrible ball-club. Hard to believe that only a few years ago, the Orioles had Manny Machado, Chris Davis (when he was good) Adam Jones, and Matt Wieters. This team reached the ALCS in 2014. So how were they this past season? 47-115 and finished dead-last in the AL East for the second straight year. This will be a painful process, but let’s take a look at what the Orioles will field this season.
LHP Gio Gonzalez and the New York Yankees have come to terms on an agreement.
Merely 17 days after the previous record-holding deal in Bryce Harper’s contract with the Phillies worth $330 million was made, Mike Trout and the Angels are set to leave that in the dust with a massive $430 million extension. The deal, as per multiple sources, is 12 years long, which could keep the greatest player of this generation, if not of all-time, with the Angels for the rest of his career.
If you asked 100 MLB fans who the Cy-Young winners will be this year, a good amount will give you some combination of Chris Sale, Blake Snell, Justin Verlander, Jacob deGrom, or Max Scherzer. All of those players have a solid chance at taking home the award, but let’s take a look at five candidates who can surprise some people this year.
