The Boston Celtics are coming off a horrendous and tough week, going 0-2. They lost to Milwaukee by 1 on the road, Kyrie missed a contested shot in a tough loss. The unexpected loss came against the Bulls in which they lost by 10 points, they sit at the #5 spot in the East. Very horrendous lost for the C’s.
With temperatures getting warmer, days getting longer, and All-Star weekend behind us, attention can start to shift towards the Holy Grail of the NBA campaign, the playoffs. This year’s regular season has been wildly entertaining, and the upcoming free agency is set to be the most dramatic in recent memory, but the time between mid-April and mid-June will always be the most exciting period in the basketball calendar. To steal the NBA’s favorite slogan, the postseason is why we watch.
Here are my four takeaways from the Heat’s 118-108 victory over the Portland Trailblazers.
The NBA trade deadline is just around the corner and the rumor machine is on fire. While most teams won’t make a deal, each will consider many options between now and the February 7th deadline. In a six part series, I will provide one trade each NBA team should consider making between now and the trade deadline. The Northwest division is up next and here is a trade each team should make. A week defined by blowouts. There were 4 games on the slate for this week, all at home and the Denver Nuggets went 3-1. Key performances came from Jamal Murray, Malik Beasley, and Paul Millsap brought huge lifts to the team. The MVP of the week, however, has to go to none other than Nikola Jokic. He averaged 23.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game. Here is your recap of each game from this week.
