2020 “Way Too Early” NFL Mock Draft
Before all of the keyboard GMs come for my head, this is called the “way too early” mock draft for a reason. This is a preliminary idea of what could happen based on a draft order that I did not create.
Every year, each NFL team must answer the annual query: rebuild or reload? It seems that around 11:00 on February 3rd, with the chips and guac running low as Tom Brady held the Lombardi in celebration, the Carolina Panthers decided to reload for the 2019 season.
Tom Brady and Bill Belichick just lead the New England Patriots to their sixth SuperBowl win, but for the Patriots they never take a day off on a quest for SuperBowls. The loss of Rob Gronkowski is devastating and the Patriots don’t do much in free agency so the draft is where they restock their roster. The Patriots have 12 picks and have some needs they need to hit on to win the AFC yet again.
The 2019 NFL Draft is going to be happening in less than a week and all the organizations are preparing their draft plans to fill their needs. Some organizations draft really well and it helps them have good seasons while others fail to address needs that make them have to wait another year. The war rooms are going to get crazy and the player’s emotions are going to be at a high, but before that let’s take a look at one of the players.
Player: Nasir Adderley
The Chargers took a huge step last season. They went 12-4 last season and finished second in the AFC West. Philip Rivers played awesome last season. There was a point where they thought he could be the MVP.
The draft is less than 36 hours away and all the teams are getting to ready for three of the busiest days of the year. Nick Foles saved the Eagles from falling into oblivion, but they need some help around Carson Wentz this year if they want to make it back to the playoffs.
The NFL Draft is this Thursday; the Carolina Panthers have needs on both the offensive and defensive lines. The Panthers will need to draft players that can protect Cam Newton and players to put pressure on the opposing quarterback.
Going into last season, the Minnesota Vikings broke the bank, to bring in highly coveted free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins. Expectations were quite high, only to end up missing the playoffs. The final nail in the coffin was a week 17 loss to the Chicago Bears. Looking towards the draft, the Vikings have eight picks, including two six and seven round selections. It wouldn’t be very surprising to see the Vikings take a pair of offensive linemen in the first four rounds.
