The Behemoth, Zdeno Chara will play another year in the NHL for the Boston Bruins. The 42 year -old defensemen continues to be a hard-working player and a leader off and on the ice and will play in his 14th season with the Bruins next season.
With just eight games remaining in the season the Penguins are one of those teams you shouldn’t hit the panic button on just yet
The Sharks have clinched a spot in the postseason again. Can they finally raise Lord Stanley’s Cup this year?
Carey Price notched his 315th win in a 3-1 victory against the Detroit Red Wings, making him the winningest goaltender in Canadiens franchise history, he collected 20 saves in the contest, which included a very nice pad save on Michael Rasmussen to keep it scoreless in the second period, as well as robbing Todd Bertuzzi on a crucial breakaway with twelve minutes remaining in the third, which kept them in the game. A native of Anahim Lake British Columbia, he was selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2005 NHL draft and has since become a true face of the franchise.
The Colorado Avalanche will have a big spot to fill in their lineup as it was announced Friday that Gabriel Landeskog, their captain, will be out for four to six weeks with an upper-body injury, which will essentially end his regular season.

The Bruins came far from making headline moves ahead of the 2018-19 season. But because of these two signings, none of that matters.
Detroit Red Wings defenseman Mike Green will miss the rest of the season due to an ongoing liver virus he’s been trying to fight through. Green has gone through the wars missing the opening nine games this season because of the virus, then missed a month beginning in mid-December because of a foot injury, the virus has resurfaced once again.

It is time for a gut check if you are the Chicago Blackhawks. They are in the fight of their lives, being EIGHT points out of a spot as of now, it is going to take a lot of hard work and determination. Alright, with that being said, what are the chances the Hawks break in to the playoffs? While the Chicago Blackhawks are my team, I have to stop and be realistic here. They took two out of a possible six points on their last road trip in California. I feel as if the team is out of gas, and running out of time to make the playoffs. Here’s why….
Two surprise teams sit atop the top three spots in the Metropolitan Division in the New York Islanders and the Carolina Hurricanes with the Washington Capitals right there at the top with them. The Pittsburgh Penguins are just a single point away from third and the Columbus Blue Jackets are three points away with a game in hand on each of them. The Philadelphia Flyers are now slipping away, they are seven points back from playoff contention. The New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils round out the division and have been out of the playoff picture for a good portion of the season. Let’s go over each team’s situation for the rest of this season and beyond.
