Report: Heat expected to inquire about a trade for Anthony Davis

The Anthony Davis trade season has officially begun. Davis’ agent, Rich Paul, informed the Pelicans that his client had no intention of signing a contract extension with them this summer and wanted to be traded to a championship contender, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday. Davis is eligible for a supermax extension, which would pay him around $240 million over five seasons.

Celtics Preview for the Week of Jan 21 – Jan 27

The Boston Celtics are coming off a pretty good 3-1 week. Their only loss came to the up and coming young Brooklyn Nets team; Kyrie Irving and Marcus Smart were out, but they still should’ve won. They played isolation ball and took too many contested threes; they started to play well too late in the game and came up short.
