Welp, it finally happened. After much speculation the most drawn-out free agency in recent memory end with Bryce Harper going to the Philadelphia Phillies.
The next decade will be exciting. Three young superstars signed monster contracts and with become the face of their respective franchise. All of the victories and failures, whether their fault or not, will rest on their shoulders. I looked at some factors to try to figure out which one of these players has the best opportunity to cement a winning legacy.

I had the Yankees winning the World Series last year, but they fell short to the eventual world champion Boston Red Sox in the Divisional round. But its a new year, and you live and learn. Martinez with the Red Sox until on February 26th, after spring training began. Some believed teams were just holding off on spending because of the talent pool that would be available in 2018-19.
According to reports from The Athletic the Dodgers and A.J. Pollock have come to an agreement on a 5yr $60 million deal. Pollock can opt out after three years if he reaches a certain number of Plate appearances. The 5th yr option is for $10 million with a 5$ million buyout.
The day that I’m writing this marks the one-year anniversary of the Minneapolis Miracle. When the Vikings defeated the Saints in the NFC Divisional Round on a circus catch and score by Stefon Diggs.
I was reading my timeline of that day and I saw everyone proclaim this as one of the greatest moment in sports history. Is it though? This sparked this idea, to give my top five moments in sports history.

This Off-Season had so much promise. Two of the best in the game in Manny Machado and Bryce Harper, at the ripe age of 26 were set to hit the free agency market for the first time. There was (and still is….sorta) talks of two-time Cy Young winner Corey Kluber being traded. There was even a report that Kris Bryant could have been traded.
What a difference an All-Star Break makes, especially if you’re free-agent-to-be Bryce Harper. His performance in the first half of the season was costing him millions of dollars on the free agent market, as his average hovered near the Mendoza line.
On the other hand, fellow soon-to-be free agent Manny Machado seemingly shrugged off daily trade rumors and put together a first half that likely made him the front-runner for MLB’s first $400 million contract. But what a difference an All-Star Break makes.
