Opening Day = National Holiday

It’s a mere 5 days until the real opening day, with apologies to the Mariners and Athletics. For those of you under the age of 50, MLB at one time had a traditional opening day and game, featuring the Cincinnati Reds. I miss those days. I also think the designated hitter is an abomination, to paraphrase Crash Davis. So you can surmise my feelings on the impending implementation of the DH in the National League. I offer my own solution to the imbalance between leagues, abolish the DH altogether.

Player Spotlight: Malcolm Brogdon

This week I have decided to shine the spotlight on the Milwaukee Bucks third year combo-guard Malcolm Brogdon. As I begin putting this entire article together Malcolm, unfortunately, he received an MRI and has been diagnosed with a minor plantar fascia tear. The expectation is that he will be sidelined six-to-eight weeks according to most media reports. This is a crucial blow to not only Malcolm who was in the midst of one of a historical season but to the Bucks as well. He hopes to be back in action sometime in the playoffs depending on how far the team can go with him on the shelf.

Celtics preview for the Week of March 18 – March 24

The Celtics are coming off a solid 2-1 week, they looked great in two of the three games. They played with a lack of effort on the defensive end and didn’t move the ball well in the game they lost. Due to their sloppy play, they got blown out by the LA Clippers.
