The Cleveland Cavaliers missed the playoffs for their third straight season. In the 2020-2021 NBA season, the Cavaliers finished the season with a 22-50 record for 13th in the eastern conference.
The Cleveland Cavaliers started the 2020-2021 season 3-0 including a 118-94 blowout win versus conference contenders, the Philadelphia 76ers. That three-game win streak which would be the second-highest of their season would be short-lived.
It was delayed by you know what, but the 2020 Olympics were finally played. Now may not be the best time for these games but the organizers had other thoughts. In the end, fans got to see their fellow countrymen play.
The Boston Celtics are always linked to trade rumors. This season’s trade deadline is fast approaching, and the team has underperformed from their early season expectations.
We are back with another edition of “Core Four”! We have a lot of good games tonight and lots of
Coming off a 100-99 loss to the Sacramento Kings (in which the Kings ended the 10 game Celtics winning streak) and playing against a depleted Suns roster, the Celtics had to play on the second night of a back to back in Phoenix. Already 1-1 on a five-game road trip, the Celtics didn’t want to drop this game against the Suns with tough games upcoming versus the Clippers and Nuggets. This is a classic battle of offense versus defense. The Utah Jazz play a tough brand of basketball and force the opponent to work hard for 48 minutes. The Houston Rockets have claimed the third seed in the Western Conference thanks to James Harden’s historic season as he looks to become a back-to-back MVP.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Memphis Grizzlies are finally ready to put the “Grit and Grind” era behind them, having reportedly made it clear to other teams throughout the NBA that they are actively listening to offers for their two star players, Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, both of whom have spent their entire decade-plus-long NBA careers in Memphis.
Tonight, the Los Angeles Lakers will be traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah to take on the Jazz in what should be an exciting matchup. Currently, the eight teams holding playoff spots in the West are separated by only 5.5 games and a win for either team could play a big role in the Western Conference playoff race. The Lakers and Jazz hold the 8th and 9th playoff spots in the conference and are only separated by two games.
The Utah Jazz do not possess the star power of their conference rivals, but their defense-first system means they are a force to be reckoned with. The question is, can their strong team unit make up for their lack of big name players?
