82 games have gone, and past and the Pittsburgh Penguins are in the Stanley Cup playoffs. With a record of 44-26-12 with a total of 100 points. They are set to face the New York Islanders in the first round of the Playoffs
The Pittsburgh Penguins. That name in Pittsburgh, when brought up, brings special memories. With 5 Stanley Cups coming from 90-91, 91-92, 08-09, 16-17, and 17-18 this city has been blessed with a multitude of fantastic players. I have compiled a list of the top 10 players. Making this was extremely difficult.
With the Penguins morning skate report, it looked to be business as usual until you got to the defensive pairings.
With the Pittsburgh Penguins facing off against the Dallas Stars last night we saw everything from short-handed goals, power-play goals, drama, and breathtaking saves.
With just eight games remaining in the season the Penguins are one of those teams you shouldn’t hit the panic button on just yet
We hit on a number of plays on Tuesday, let’s see if we can continue with some more selections for Thursday’s version of Ice Picks. Pittsburgh and Washington are on my radar(surprise, surprise) as well as Tampa Bay and SanJose(more of the usual suspects). Here are the games in order preference: Penguins at Sabres, Lightning at Red Wings, Panthers at Sharks and Capitals at Flyers. Here we go!
We have a decent size offering of games to choose from tonight. A couple obvious high profile games lead the way. Pittsburgh is home to the red-hot Washington Capitals, winners of seven straight. The struggling Winnipeg Jets(4-5 in there last nine) host the smooth sailing San Jose Sharks(6-2-1 in there last nine). Our other set of games appears to be more one-sided, but still valuable in terms of fantasy point production. Montreal hosts Detroit and New Jersey visits Calgary. Time to break it down!
Welcome back everyone to a weekend edition of DraftKings Ice Picks. Hope everyone is having fun this season playing NHL DFS, the season is winding down and it will be soon time for the best time of the year for hockey fans, the Playoffs! As usual, my games to focus on is three or four matchups. Leading the way, Senators at Bruins, Red Wings at Avalanche, Leafs at Oilers and Penguins at Blue Jackets. Let’s get to it!
10 games are on the docket for tonight in the NHL. My favorite games to target are as follows: Winnipeg at Tampa Bay (an implied total of seven in some place), the slumping Detroit Red Wings, losers of seven straight, at Colorado and Florida, losers of four straight, at Pittsburgh.
Two surprise teams sit atop the top three spots in the Metropolitan Division in the New York Islanders and the Carolina Hurricanes with the Washington Capitals right there at the top with them. The Pittsburgh Penguins are just a single point away from third and the Columbus Blue Jackets are three points away with a game in hand on each of them. The Philadelphia Flyers are now slipping away, they are seven points back from playoff contention. The New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils round out the division and have been out of the playoff picture for a good portion of the season. Let’s go over each team’s situation for the rest of this season and beyond.
The trade deadline has come and gone with some notable names being shipped to teams that are all in to make a push towards a championship. We have our typical full offering of games for Tuesday, some of which feature players involved in the deadline day deals. San Jose at Boston, Buffalo at Philadelphia, Ottawa at Washington and Pittsburgh at Columbus all should be on your radar.
