The Philadelphia Eagles saw their season come to an end on Sunday, with a 31-15 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round. A team that wasn’t even expected to make the playoffs, the Eagles can have solace in the fact that they got a chance in the big dance.
After the Saints’ domination of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week combined with the Niners being depleted on offense, we were expecting a lopsided affair. It was close for a bit but the Saints finally pulled away in the second half and won 27-13.
Coming into this game, the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals seemed to be heading in opposite directions, leading most to believe that Arizona would run away with this game. However, the Lions defense stepped up and slowed down quarterback Kyler Murray, and Detroit squeaked out a win on the road.
As expected, the Jets were steamrolled by the Colts on Sunday. Right from the start, New York had no chance against Indianapolis as the injuries on offense were far too much to overcome.
The San Francisco 49ers traveled to MetLife Stadium for the second week in a row, this time to face the New York Giants. Despite suffering an extraordinary amount of injuries, the 49ers clinched their second consecutive road game.
The Houston Texans traveled to Pittsburgh, PA on Sunday afternoon to face the Steelers in Week 3 of the 2020 NFL Season.
In Sunday’s AFC South Division matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars were in Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans. The Jaguars came in at 1-0, off of a Week 1 upset over Philip Rivers and the Indianapolis Colts.
In what was expected to be a high-scoring game, the Colts defense showed up this week and made it difficult for the Minnesota offense.

The right side of the offensive line was fortified and they added key pieces to the defense that made it potentially one of the best in the league in a weaponized division. Coming off a 5-11 season that included three straight losses to close the campaign, that was only the start.
Week five of the NFL season did not disappoint, it had everything we come to expect in pro-football. This Sunday’s notebook features a London game, a big performance by a Carolina Panthers running back, Steelers injury worries and another lively performance by Gardner Minshew. The New York Jets had another week to forget.
