It’s that time of year – the time where fantasy rosters feel stagnant and stale. I am always looking to wheel and deal in late October to help stack my lineup for the playoffs, but I’m also keeping an eye on the waiver wire for a late season gem. Guys like Jaylen Samuels last season or Tim Hightower a few years back can become late season league winners in fantasy football, you just have to pick them up.Read More

Just two seasons ago, a Detroit Lions victory at Lincoln Financial Field seemed nearly impossible. The Lions had fired Jim Caldwell after what felt like the franchise was at a standstill. The Eagles and Doug Pederson were led by Nick Foles after a Carson Wentz injury forced the team to change quarterback hands. They were led to a Super Bowl, something Lions have hoped just to get to since the Lombardi Trophy Era started.Read More

The Cleveland Browns finished the 2018 campaign with a 7-8-1 record. For 99 percent of teams, this would be a season to forget. But when you are 1-31 over your previous two seasons, this is an amazing start to an amazing rebuild.
The Browns rookie class was highlighted by Baker Mayfield, who broke the NFL rookie touchdown record with 27. The Browns also got production from rookies Nick Chubb, Denzel Ward, and Antonio Callaway.

For the first time since 2010, the Cleveland Browns finally can say that they are not the worst team in the AFC North. Finishing 7-8-1 last year gave them third place in their division and their best record since 2014 (7-9). While this was partly due to the firing of former Head Coach Hue Jackson, and former Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley, we need to give a lot of credit to Baker Mayfield. Baker took the league by storm starting in Week 3 against the New York Jets. Now the number one overall pick from the 2018 NFL Draft is in the running for Most Valuable Player. Should we believe the hype? Whenever there is a question about a guy’s on-field performance, the best answer is to turn to the film, and that is exactly what we did to answer the question of whether or not we should believe the hype around Baker Mayfield.
