The Major League Baseball season is in its infancy, but we will not hold back from gambling. Today’s DFS features the Colorado Rockies versus the Arizona Diamondbacks in a DraftKings showdown.
The Colorado Rockies finished 2020 in fourth place in the National League West for the second consecutive season. Two years removed from their most recent postseason appearance, the Rockies find themselves stuck between a rebuild and playoff contender going into the winter.
A little something different for tonight’s MLB DFS. DraftKings has two games on their late-night short slate: San Francisco Giants vs Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks vs Colorado Rockies.
The baseball season is a grind. It’s every single day. We will approach DFS the same way and be winners at the end of the season even if we have our hot streaks and slumps. Every day there are safe bets that flop and values that hit big, but we need to stick with our strategy in evaluating and playing. Let’s take a look at what we have today.
With one out in the 8th inning at Oracle Park in San Francisco, German Marquez came set and threw to the plate against Evan Longoria. Longoria hit a ground ball to the left side of the infield, and despite a diving effort from third-baseman Nolan Arenado, the ball made its way into left field, breaking up Marquez’s no-hit bid.
To start our 30 teams in 30 days series of MLB Team Previews, we look at the Colorado Rockies. They’ve made the playoffs two years in a row and look to make a third. Let’s dive into what they gained, what they lost, and how this season will shake out.
As we start the new year, all you fantasy baseball fanatics are dying to know who the fantasy industry is favoring. Well as I dip my toes into the big boy pool over at the NFBC (National Fantasy Baseball Championship) I will be bringing you positional ranks from their recent NFBC Draft Champions data.
Baseball is weird, which is why it can be so much fun. Today, there will be not one, but two tiebreaker games for division titles! That’s right, we have two Game 163s on tap today. And speaking of on tap, one of those will be the Colorado Rockies traveling to Los Angeles to face the Dodgers, because there are no ties in baseball. Unless you’re Bud Selig at the 2002 All-Star Game, but I digress.
