2017 was a bad year for injuries in the NFL. A number of notable players were sidelined for prolonged periods of time and hope to return to pre-injury form in 2018. Some have already made it into action during the preseason and others are still working their way back. Here is a look at some of the most notable names on the NFL injury report.

There will always be surprises that will make all prognosticators look foolish, but, let’s face it, that’s half the fun! A division which has the chance every year to produce a top team with Aaron Rodgers leading the Packers, but as we learned last season, it was a different Case entirely.

There seemed to be a trend leaning toward wide receiver dominance given the consistency of the guys at the top, but the elite play of the NFL’s best running backs over the past few seasons quickly put a stop to that. When preparing for your draft, you want to separate your running backs into tiers so you can find the best values without sacrificing production. Derrius Guice Torn ACL – What it Means for the Redskins and Your Fantasy Team

Another meaningless preseason game…another meaningful injury. This week Derrius Guice tore his ACL at the end of the first quarter in their first preseason game versus the New England Patriots. I had Derrius Guice in case you missed it as this year’s second-best rookie running back. It’s a shame that he won’t see the field until next year so we won’t know his full potential until 2019. Guice racked up 19 yards on six attempts for an average of 3.2 YPC.
2018 NFL Player Profile: Carson Wentz

For Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz the 2018 preseason is more like an extended rehab session. Wentz is returning from a torn ACL that kept him out of the entire playoff run and eventual Super Bowl win last season for the Eagles. Wentz has been a partial participant throughout training camp, taking part in individual and 7 on 7 drills, but has been only an observer for full-team drills. It is expected that Wentz will not take part in any preseason game action, however, he is still on target to start Week one.
