Pittsburgh Steelers: Missed Opportunities
The Steelers went 13-3 in 2017 and many predicted they would be one of the top teams in the AFC. Instead, they didn’t even make the playoffs. What happened?

The writers at TheScorecrow.com decided to get together and come up with their version of a Top 100 NFL players from the 2018 season. Each writer was invited to submit a ranked list of their top 25 NFL players. The votes were then counted using a weighted average method. This means that a 1st place vote was worth more than a 25th place vote.
Players ranked 1st on a list received 25 points, 2nd = 24 points and so on down to 1 point for a 25th place vote. Each players points were added up and then listed from least to most to generate our list of top 100 players. The top few players were fairly common on all the lists, but after that it was interesting. We hope you enjoy our rankings and would love to read your comments on our list.
2018 for the Buffalo Bills had some highs interspersed with the lows fans have come to accept. However, the year ended with more hope for the future than has existed for the Bills in almost 20 years.
Missing the playoffs for the sixth time in seven years, the New York Giants offense was simply never able to gel into the well-oiled machine that was expected of them with the dynamic playmakers on its roster including Odell Beckham and Saquon Barkley.
Recently former Oklahoma quarterback and Oakland A’s first round draft pick, Kyler Murray, announced on twitter that he was “firmly and fully committing my life and time to becoming an NFL quarterback”. With Murray 100% committed to playing in the NFL, his draft stock should start to rise.
According to a statement made by GM John Dorsey, The Cleveland Browns sign RB Kareem Hunt to a one-year deal that could be worth more than 1 Million.
The Detroit Lions ended the season with a dominating 31-0 win over arch-rival Green Bay to finish 6-10, this was the team’s worst season since 2012. With a second season under head coach Matt Patricia coming up, we should expect multiple changes this offseason as he continues to shape the roster to fit his scheme.
My Tampa Bay Buccaneers (that’s what I like to call em), had a season to inspire people in 2018. Inspire them to throw their televisions out the window !!!. This season began with the unknown; how was Ryan Fitzpatrick going to respond with Jameis Winston being suspended for first three games of 2018. Well, he AND the rest of the Buccaneers responded with the greatest two-game stretch for Tampa Bay football since the end of the 2002 season, the NFC Championship which closed down Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia for good, and Super Bowl XXXVII versus Oakland.
As Stephen A. Smith says about Aaron Rodgers, “he’s a baaaaaad man.” This season for the Packers was a baaaaaad season. That might be a little exaggerated just based on record; however, their quarterback is Aaron Rodgers, they have to do better than 6-9-1. At worst, they need to be in the hunt at the end of the year. That just wasn’t what happened. Instead, of playoff conversations, there was just controversy.
The Baltimore Ravens are coming off of a 10-6 season in which they needed to rattle off 6 wins in their last 7 games, eventually overtaking a Pittsburgh Steelers team that had gone into a complete tailspin, after looking like a virtual lock to win the division. Winning the AFC North, and earning themselves a wild-card matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers, they would need a late rally just to give the Chargers a game, eventually losing 23-17. However, there is a lot to be excited about moving forward, with a fresh new quarterback and a new offensive identity.

Julian Edelman took home Super Bowl LIII MVP after his astounding performance to lead his Patriots to their sixth Super Bowl victory in 18 years. He hauled in ten passes for 141 yards which were good enough to be the first receiver to be named MVP since Santonio Holmes won the award after his Super Bowl XLIII performance.
