Kameron Misner was born January 8, 1998, to Terry and Stephanie Misner in Poplar Bluff, MO. Misner was a two-way player in high school at Poplar Bluff High School, hitting .422 with eight home runs, 35 RBI, and stealing 29 bases, while also pitching to a 2.13 ERA and striking out 48 in 32 innings his senior year. This performance earned him the Semo Conference Player of the Year and also First Team All-State honors for Missouri and an Honorable Mention All-American. Following this stellar senior season, Misner was selected in the 33rd round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft by the Kansas City Royals but elected to instead commit to Missouri.

Pretty much everybody that I gave to you yesterday performed well in some capacity, with the exception of Joey Gallo who went 0-4 with four strikeouts. Today, I want more consistency from my picks than I got yesterday. The Rockies and Padres game was a let-down offensively and the wrong part of the Phillies’ lineup went off yesterday. Both pitchers earned quality starts and Jacob deGrom even went 2-3 with a double, a single, and an RBI. Let’s get into today’s picks.

It appears that the only weather concern will be in Cleveland where there is rain forecasted for much of the evening. Specific games to target are The Dodgers at Brewers, Colorado Rockies at home to the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets at St.Louis Cardinals and Houston at Texas. These games project as some of the best games to focus on in terms of offensive production.

Probably the biggest surprise so far is the horrific start for the defending world champions. The big reason right now is the pitching’ the team ranks near the bottom in almost every major statical category including ERA (27th), ER (30th), BAA (26th), opponent total bases (30th), home runs given up (29th), hits given up (28th) and lists of things I can mention. We believed the bullpen would be Red Sox’s Achilles heel, but it been starting pitching. The best ERA among starters with more than one start is David Price with 6.00. CY Young winning ace Chris Sale is having a notable a rough start, giving up 13 ER in 13 innings.
