In 2018, the Colorado Rockies selected Shelby Lackey in the 18th round of the MLB draft. Since then he has seen his stock rise in three minor league seasons. Although Lackey was the 546th overall pick, he was one of the Rockies’ top 30 prospects at the beginning of the 2021 campaign.
The 2021 MLB trade deadline has come and gone. Perhaps no division was as active as the National League West. When all was said and done, this was the division that featured the most blockbuster deals amidst its leaders.
With both Jacob deGrom and Francisco Lindor out due to injury, the Mets appear to have found a good trading partner in the Colorado Rockies to help flatten out their roster.
The Cincinnati Reds don’t care what hour of the day it is, they are here to make moves. After acquiring two relievers from the New York Yankees last night in Luis Cessa and Justin Wilson, the Reds are back to work.
