It’s a brand new season and the New York Jets are back and ready to compete this year. With Tom Brady out of the AFC East, the division is wide open. A revamped offensive line is going to do anything they can to protect Sam Darnold and put the team in a position to win week in and week out. Hopefully this year Darnold won’t catch mono and he could have a healthy and productive 2020 NFL season.

The past season and offseason have been one to remember for Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans. The team’s starting quarterback was the first one to throw 30 touchdowns as well as 30 interceptions. Flash forward to the present and they have Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski without losing any of their significant players. Here are five bold things for the 2020 season for the Buccaneers.

The Green Bay Packers endured a lot of success in the 2019 season, although a little luck fell their way also. The Packers achieved a record of 8-1 in one-score games and had to make several plays in the final moments of games to seal victories. This strong record in these games ultimately led to an NFC North division title and a first-round bye. The Packers were able to knock off the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau in the divisional round of the playoffs; however, their luck finally ran out in the NFC Championship game against the formidable San Francisco 49ers. The Packers were run off the field and embarrassed by the 49ers, losing 37-20 and giving up 285 rushing yards in a game that was never close.

The AFC South is a chaotic division year after year, with each team having its own hot streak. This past year, we’ve seen two superstars depart the division in DeAndre Hopkins and Jalen Ramsey, both adding to the mystery of who will win the division next. Each team has its own question that they must answer, in order to find success. Overall, this division is unpredictable year to year, and with the 2020 schedule set, there will be some interesting games to watch. Last season was an absolute disaster and Dan Snyder finally sent Bruce Allen packing. After firing Allen, Snyder told the entire interim coaching staff and some front office members to follow him out the door. During the coaching search, Allen had one guy in mind. A coach with great character and vision with ambitious. That coach was Ron Rivera, who takes pride in coaching discipline football. I would expect the Redskins to improve in 2020.

The NFC West is one of the most difficult divisions to predict. Last year, the fast rise of the 49ers took the league by storm, whereas in 2018 the Rams were able to maintain their dominant streak. Will there be another change at the top of the division? With the 2020 schedule set, there are some significant games each NFC West team will play.
