Dave Dombrowski has Failed the Red Sox

Major League Baseball has been under the microscope over the last decade for a multitude of factors. The pace of play (or lack thereof), lacking attendance numbers in certain markets, and the lack of marketability of its star players are just some of the issues that Rob Manfred has to contend with going forward. Realistically, there is one quick fix that can easily get new viewers watching America’s pastime.

Aví García’s 3 RBI’s gave the Rays the lead. They would need the entire bullpen to combine for 13 outs to hold onto it.
I was looking at this season BABIP leaderboards in the search of some outliers. I was curious to see if any batter was putting together a strangely high BABIP value while hitting more (more more) than average ground balls and not that many line drives or fly balls.
This is the time of year where a big trade can do one of a few different things, depending on how you’re looking at it. If you’re a contender, the right trade could propel you over the top to reach the ultimate goal of winning a World Series. Buyer beware, the wrong trade could also set your franchise back tremendously for years to come.
There was a lot of expectations in Flushing this year: Wilson Ramos, Jed Lowrie, Robinson Cano, with a Cy Young deGrom, the Mets looked to be a force in that heavy National League East. Unfortunately, the familiar injury bug and some players not living up to expectations have them in fourth place. They have said Noah Syndergaard is available, and a few teams could use an ace quality pitcher like him. He won’t come cheap; The Mets will look to rebuild their franchise as a result of trading him. Here’s what some teams may need to give up to land the Syndergaard.
After trading Eric Sogard to Tampa Bay on Sunday, Toronto wasted no time in calling up über-prospect Bo Bichette, who was actually pulled from the Triple-A game he was playing for Buffalo.
Such was Toronto’s anxiety to get its last shinning youngin’ to the Majors, and such should be yours to make him available to suitors in case you happen to have him in your fantasy team or are still able to acquire him in case he’s still free out there.
One of the more versatile players in baseball, Whit Merrifield is one of the most sought after trade deadline targets this season.
Merrifield has been one of the lone bright spots for the Kansas City Royals. He has been sitting at an above-average WAR his whole career and is improving his defense. He has that .300 BA and 20 HR capabilities at the dish as well. He is also a great base runner. He stole 43 bases last season and 34 the year before that.

The 2019 MLB season has come with a record number of home runs as well as a record number of strikeouts. However, many people forget the long plate appearances that this season is producing. With these long plate appearances come a record number of foul balls going into the stands.
Over the past month, the Red Sox have arguably played their best baseball of the season. Although they have gotten contributions up and down the lineup, nobody has been better than Mookie Betts. After struggling early on the defending American League MVP has been a different player of late. His bat has awoken at the perfect time as the Red Sox make their playoff push. With Betts regaining his stroke at the plate, the Red Sox offense which was already baseballs best has become even more dangerous.
Ah, here we are, Monday. The terrific feeling of the weekend ending and work beginning again, said no one ever. But do you know something people actually say? They’d like to win some money playing daily fantasy. Who cares that it’s Monday? Some of the best and most profitable slates of the year have been Monday nights. Let’s hope that is the case tonight as I’ve done some research and dissected some players to consider using. Take a look at some pitching options, core value plays, and stacks for tonight.
