MLB DFS DraftKings Around the Horn May 2nd, 2019
Plenty of afternoon baseball today, in all there are eight games on the slate and we will pick and choose from both afternoon and evening. Let’s jump right into it and go Around the Horn!

The baseball season is a grind. It’s every single day. We will approach DFS the same way and be winners at the end of the season even if we have our hot streaks and slumps. Every day there are safe bets that flop and values that hit big, but we need to stick with our strategy in evaluating and playing. Let’s take a look at what we have today.
A huge slate of games tonight, 15 to be exact. There will be a ton of variance and spread out ownership. This is what makes DFS fun. Along with the making money part. That’s kind of the best part. Without further ado let’s get right into some players I will be targeting in hopes of cashing in.
Bran would tell these players they were good men. I promise I’ll be spoiler free.
Sometimes we need to look at DFS like we are putting together a puzzle. The top-notch players are usually the highest priced ones. The lower priced guys can be serviceable, given the right matchup. My goal with the article today is to give you some pieces, both high and low, to give you the best chance of putting together the perfect puzzle. Take a ride with me as I lay out some spend up options, value and BvP plays, and stacks.
Happy Friday everyone! A whole plethora of new series begins tonight. There are some weather concerns in Philadelphia, Washington, Boston and New York(Mets), so we will focus our attention elsewhere just to be safe before lineups lock. A lot of games to target so no better time than now to go Around the Horn!
We are back at it again DFSers for our Thursday edition of Around the Horn. Hopefully, your lineups are producing a decent return early on this baseball season. Mostly night games today and that’s where our focus will be. Marlins at Phillies, Red Sox at home to the Tigers, Indians at Astros, Yankees at Angels and Mariners hosting the Rangers are favourites of mine when for targeting players. Let’s take a trip Around the Horn!

Every day there are safe bets that flop and values that hit big, but we need to stick with our strategy in evaluating and playing. I apologize for not having my season-long numbers this week. Starting next week on May 1st, I will put up my season numbers and will track them as we go along. For today though, let’s dive right in.
Welcome in. Hopefully you were able to cash last night with some of the plays provided in yesterday’s article. Stephen Piscotty and Jonathan Lucroy came up huge for me and I was able to turn in a decent profit, cashing in 84% of cash games last night. Hopefully we can strike gold again. Let’s take a look at some players to target for tonight’s 13-game slate.
Mondays after a holiday weekend can be brutal. If you had as much fun as I did, I probably don’t have to tell you that. Making money can make anyone feel slightly better. Let’s dive into the options for today with some lineup locks, value, and stacks.
STREAMER OF THE WEEK (17% Owned CBS, 4% Yahoo, 2% ESPN)
Spencer Turnbull, SP DET (4/23 @ BOS, 4/28 @ CHW)
0-2, 3.43 1.29 WHIP 10.29 K/9 in 21.0 IP
Currently pitching to a 3.43 ERA and a 10.29 K/9, Spencer Turnbull has been able to minimize hard contact (34.5%) and pitch to his peripherals (3.19 FIP 3.85 xFIP). He is currently touting an 11.2% swinging strike rate, which is slightly above league average, but finished with 15 and 10 swinging strikes in two of his April starts against the Royals and Indians.
A bevy of games for tonight’s MLB card. 14 games in total to pick from to build your roster. It appears that the only weather concern will be in Cleveland where there is rain forecasted for much of the evening. Specific games to target are The Dodgers at Brewers, Colorado Rockies at home to the Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets at St.Louis Cardinals and Houston at Texas. These games project as some of the best games to focus on in terms of offensive production.
