NHL Central Division Recap
Let’s take a look at the NHL’s Central Division. Can the Predators stay on top this year? Or will another upstart team knock them down?

By the mid-1990s, Fred McGriff seemed destined for enshrinement in the National Baseball Hall of Fame. When “the Crime Dog’s” contract was purchased by the upstart Tampa Bay Devil Rays in November of 1997, more than four months before the franchise played its first Major League game, the tall first baseman with the helicopter follow-through boasted one of the most prolific resumes in baseball.
The Atlantic Division has been nothing short of insanity in the first 28 games of the 2018-19 season. Each team is hovering around .500 in the standings and the storylines are laid out for an explosive finish. Can Buffalo shock the world and take the Atlantic title? Will Boston creep up towards the end? Will it be a race to the finish for Toronto and Tampa Bay for not only the Atlantic title but the Presidents’ Trophy? There isn’t another division in the National Hockey League that has as much potential for a storied season as the Atlantic.
If it is possible for an NBA conference to be drunk (and hey, this season has not exactly been short of bizarre moments), then the West, in all its drama and unpredictability, is absolutely plastered at the moment. With a mere 6.5 games separating the top fourteen teams, everyone besides the pitiful Phoenix Suns look set to contend for the eight postseason spots. There have been shocks galore and, with the standings so close, almost every game out west is highly-entertaining.
At the beginning of the season, I made various predictions about the Western Conference. Like many other NBA fans, I have been blown away by how the Western Conference has panned out. The Golden State Warriors falling apart, Carmelo Anthony leaves the Houston Rockets, and as of right now the Los Angeles Clippers in the top of the standings?!
The Fantasy Footballers say championships are not won at the draft, but you lay the foundation for the upcoming season. Hard work, making the right moves, and picking up the right players has hopefully gotten you to the fantasy playoffs. And now that they are here, let’s take a look back at some of the late-round/waiver-wire pickups that got you here.
