On Monday, commissioner Roger Goodell sent out a memo to all 32 NFL teams saying that the draft will be fully virtual. While this was a common thought of what was going to happen, it still sent shockwaves through the league and media for a variety of reasons. The league also recommended that each team’s personnel members be in separate locations during the time of the draft. This is another milestone in the long road of events that have been postponed or canceled due to the pandemic.

With the draft a little over two weeks away, everyone is rapidly trying to churn out mock drafts and scouting reports. While this is always the case, it’s also time to look ahead to the future. Scouts always do years of work in advance for future drafts and that is what I will do here.
We are now to the third and final round of my third mock draft of the year. There have been a lot of picks swapped from the first round and a lot of premier players are off the board but a lot of players that could find themselves in key roles on teams are still available. Cincinnati is on the clock with the 65th pick.
On Monday, I released the first round of my three-round mock draft. Today, I will move on to round two. There are still several high caliber players on the board and there has been lots of movement before the second round starts as a result of the first round. Let’s get the second day of picks started. Cincinnati is on the clock with the 33rd pick.
Now that the first week of free agency has passed, it is now time for another round of mock drafts. Of course, players like Jadeveon Clowney, Robby Anderson, and Jameis Winston are still on the market as well as some trades still set to happen.
$94,000,000. That is the dead cap figure for Jared Goff this year if he were to be released. Thursday, Goff was awarded another $43,000,000 in guarantees from the Rams. This is just one of the blunders in a terrible series of mishandlings of multiple contracts.
Everyone knew that the Raiders would be active in the offseason this year. The third year of the Jon Gruden tenure, as well as the second under Mike Mayock, was a big one.
On a day that saw DeAndre Hopkins traded for the same price as Hayden Hurst, the Packers were winners early in the morning. Green Bay signed recently cut linebacker, Christian Kirksey from the Browns, as well as signing tackle, Ricky Wagner from Detroit one day after he was cut.
