Speed  8/10 Explosive with the ball in his hands. Doesn’t have elite speed but has enough to make it work.
Catching  8/10 Has some inconsistent drops on catches that should be made. Has some issues with tucking the ball away once he’s made the catch.
Route Tree 8/10 He’s going to tear you up if you play off coverage. Mostly ran bubble screens, slants, and curls at ASU but showed some progress in other routes as well.
Contested Catching  7/10 Doesn’t have an elite frame to be elite in this category. Sometimes gets overmatched here.
RAC 10/10 Incredible in this aspect. Has a natural ability at finding free space and exposing it. Makes one-on-ones vs opposing defenders look easy.
Release  8.5/10 Really crafty here. Examines the coverage and bases his release off of the defender. Uses some false steps to his advantage to bait the defender.
Vertical Receiving  8/10 ASU didn’t use him as much in this regard as they should have. Great ability to track the football, even if it is underthrown.
Athleticism  9/10 This is what sets him apart from the rest of the class. Very explosive and has done some hurdling over players during his time to get additional yardage.
Competitive Toughness 8/10 Always fighting for extra yards, which sometimes costs him. Tries to avoid contact to win on his routes, which doesn’t work against press coverage. A little more physicality will help evolve his game.
Blocking  4.5/5 Showed plenty of length and lateral quickness to his advantage. Great effort and always looks for the next person to block upfield.
Injury 4/5 Had surgery this week on a core-muscle situation that was impacting him. Still did the combine with the issue and had the same explosiveness as he always has. Due to the pandemic, this news isn’t as big as it usually is and shouldn’t affect his draft stock.
Overall  83/100 Aiyuk figures to be used as a number two option opposite of an elite number one receiver in an explosive offense. He could best be used as a slot receiver that will take advantage of his explosiveness. His biggest weakness is physicality against press coverage.

Round Grade: Early Second Round, Projected Draft Position: Early-Mid Second Round
