Heading into Saturday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, the Miami Heat were 0-4 on the second night of a back to back. After a hot first half, the Heat blew a 24-point lead and was in danger of losing to the Luka Doncic-less Mavericks. But in the end, the Heat made critical plays down the stretch to close the game. The Heat moves to 19-7 for the season.

Lakers vs HEAT reaction

It was fun while it lasted. The Miami Heat’s 11 game winning streak was snapped by the Los Angeles Lakers in what felt like a playoff game. Up by eight at halftime, the Heat found themselves trailing by 11 in the third period before going into the fourth down by three. From there, the game went back and forth, ending with Jimmy Butler’s missed three-point attempt at the buzzer. The Heat’s record for the season is now 18-7.

Hawks vs HEAT reaction

For the second straight game, the Miami Heat found themselves in a close one at home. Just like they did against the Chicago Bulls on Sunday, the Heat found a way to beat the Atlanta Hawks. The Heat overcame a 117-111 deficit with less than a minute left in regulation to force overtime, where the team went on a 16-0 run to close the game. The win improves the Heat’s home record to 11-0 for the season.

Bulls vs Heat reaction

For the first time this season, at home, the Miami Heat had to break a sweat to come out victorious. Despite their record, the Chicago Bulls threw the first punch and lead the Heat by nine after the first period. Even though the Heat won the next two quarters, the game was still in doubt. But in the end, the Heat prevailed. Miami moves to 17-6 for the season.

The list of unbeaten home teams just got shorter. Thanks to the Miami Heat. Despite losing their best bench scorer in Goran Dragic, the team still pulled out a victory against the Toronto Raptors. It was the team’s best road victory against an elite team since their October 26th victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. The Heat now improve season record to 15-5 for the season. Warriors vs HEAT reaction

The last time the Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors faced off, the Heat beat the Warriors thanks to a Dwyane Wade buzzer-beating three-pointer. This time there were no late-game theatrics. After the Warriors trimmed the Heat’s lead to six in the third period, the Heat regrouped in the final period and ended the game with a 122-105 win. The victory moves the Heat season record to 13-5.

Home sweet home! After the blowout loss on Saturday, the Miami Heat went back to their winning ways on Monday. Despite a competitive first half, Miami blew out the Charlotte Hornets 117-100. The win improves the Heat’s record to 12-4 for the season.

Reaction to Heat vs Cavaliers

This week, the Miami Heat has been building up big leads. And they also have given them up as well. Playing from ahead has been an ongoing lesson for the team, which was the case against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday. After trailing by as many as 27 in the second half, the Cavaliers crept back into the game and cut the Heat’s lead to 10 midway into the fourth quarter. Ultimately, the Heat left Cleveland with a 108-97 victory to improve their record to 8-3 for the season.

After blowing out the Houston Rockets on Sunday, the Miami Heat were looking to start the road trip off right with a win. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Up by 10 at halftime, the Denver Nuggets increased their lead with a strong third quarter, outscoring the Heat 31-20 in the period. The Heat now fall to 5-2 for the season.
