College Gameday is heading to Waco! The #9 Oklahoma Sooners take on the undefeated #12 Baylor Bears in a very important Big 12 game. Both of these teams have had very interesting seasons led by prolific quarterbacks.
Welcome back to Damico’s Depository where I pick my locks to cover the spread in college football! Last week, I went 7-1 (Thanks, Wake Forest), bringing my year-to-date record to 29-22 (.569). A good week this week will propel me closer to my goal of .600. Let’s get into it.
Welcome to my first mock draft since April! Click here for my first mock draft. A lot, and I mean a lot has changed since May. Some people have completely fallen out of favor and are no longer in my top 100.
There are plenty of teams who have way too many needs to cover in one round, so I apologize in advance for the people asking “Why didn’t you give my team (insert player that won’t fall to said team here).” The draft order that I used in May has changed drastically, but some teams are still around the same pick.
Most people expected the Bengals, Dolphins, and Giants to be picking in the top 10, but I don’t think anyone saw the Falcons being in the same position. The Cleveland Browns are also in this top 10, despite many people’s thoughts that they would make a deep playoff run. I’m sure many changes will occur before my third mock draft in three weeks as well.
This mock draft includes trades. The draft order follows the Monday Night Football Game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks and can be found on Tankathon.
I rebounded last week, going 6-3 in Week 10. That brings my year-to-date pick record for locks to 22-21 (.512). My goal is to end the season with a winning percentage of .600 so I have some work to do. Here are my seven locks for the week.
I had an absolutely atrocious week last week. We’ll leave it at that since not many people saw my picks last week. I’m going to attempt to recover by giving you nine “locks” this week. Just a reminder, I am not a professional better and you shouldn’t bet your life savings on my picks. Anything can happen in football as we saw last week as most of my locks ended up not covering. If I can call myself out for doing well, I gotta be able to admit when I was just wrong.
There’s been a lot of speculation about some coaches who might be in their last year with their respective teams. I’m going to give you my thoughts on these guys, discussing who should stay put and who needs to go.

This week, I’m going to introduce a new “segment”, if you will, to this article. This is inspired by “Bear’s Bank” on College Gameday. The Bear has such a poor picking record at picking spreads that I decided I must take it into my own hands to challenge him. So obviously, he’s a few weeks ahead of me, so this week I will pick 10 of my locks for this week and see if I can eventually have a better record than Chris Fallica and claim my throne.
