Last year was yet another let down for the Brooklyn Nets. They went into the season with low expectations and it’s safe to say their expectations were met. Will they bounce back this year and make a run at the playoffs?
The New York Yankees host the Oakland Athletics at 8PM ET tonight. While the Yankees set the major league record with 267 HRs, the A’s were no slouch clubbing 227. With a bullpen game likely in store from the A’s side, the Yankees throw Luis Severino who couldn’t get out of the first inning last year. This could be a slugfest.
This Yankees team is extremely talented but they just can’t get anything going. As a Yankees fan, it’s very frustrating because they have all the pieces to play well and be consistent but not everyone is showing up.
The Philadelphia Eagles had a fantastic season last year, considering they won the Super Bowl. They started off 11-1 through 12 weeks last year and ended at 13-3. They could’ve easily gone 14-2 but made the smart decision to rest their starters for Week 17. The question is…can they repeat?
The right field position has been very weak for the Yankees since Aaron Judge went down with a broken wrist in late July, thanks to Jakob Junis. They’ve been rotating Shane Robinson, Neil Walker, and occasionally Giancarlo Stanton in right field when he isn’t playing the role of designated hitter.
No one was happy with the 6-10 performance of the Oakland Raiders last season, including upper management who decided Jack Del Rio’s time in the Bay Area was up. Can they bounce back to 2016 and show last year was a fluke?

Now the Yankees sit ten games back of the Red Sox, which is their biggest deficit of the season. I, being a Yankee fan, have thought extensively about what the problem with the Yankees is lately, as well as why the Red Sox so good.
