Welcome back to another week of game picks. Before you continue, check out my challenge to ESPN’s Chris Fallica where I picked 10 locks for this week. Let’s get into it.
Current Picking Record: 186-55 (.772)
7 Auburn (-2.5) at 10 Florida
My Pick: Auburn
Bo knows big games and he is 2-0 against ranked teams this year. I think Derrick Brown and Nick Coe wreak havoc on the Gators’ offensive line and get Kyle Trask into trouble. Auburn wins by a touchdown.
25 Michigan State at 4 Ohio State (-20, lock)
My Pick: Ohio State
Michigan State’s defense looked human against Indiana last week while Ohio State is still obliterating everyone they face. The Ohio State offense outmatches the Michigan State defense and the Ohio State defense outmatches the Michigan State defense heavily.
14 Iowa at 19 Michigan (-4)
My Pick: Iowa
Michigan has looked awful all season. They played Rutgers well, but it’s Rutgers. Shea Patterson has yet to look like what he was promised to look like. This is a big game for Jim Harbaugh so let’s see if the Wolverines have ice in their veins.
21 Oklahoma State (-10) at Texas Tech
My Pick: Oklahoma State
Chubba Hubbard has looked like a superstar this year. He’s facing an absolutely brutal Tech defense and should be able to run wild once again. I was so close to picking this as one of my locks, but I don’t trust Oklahoma State’s defense enough to take that risk.
11 Texas (-10.5) at West Virginia
My Pick: Texas
Sam Ehlinger outmatches Austin Kendall. West Virginia has looked solid but I doubt they can hang with Texas.
California (lock) at 13 Oregon (-20)
My Pick: Oregon, Cal covers
This line makes zero sense to me. Cal’s defense hasn’t allowed more than 24 points all year. Oregon has looked human at points this year. This is one of my locks. Cal covers.
