We have a decent size offering of games to choose from tonight. A couple obvious high profile games lead the way. Pittsburgh is home to the red-hot Washington Capitals, winners of seven straight. The struggling Winnipeg Jets(4-5 in there last nine) host the smooth sailing San Jose Sharks(6-2-1 in there last nine). Our other set of games appears to be more one-sided, but still valuable in terms of fantasy point production. Montreal hosts Detroit and New Jersey visits Calgary. Time to break it down!
The Raiders stay busy as they’re set to sign Lamarcus Joyner writes Aaron Gershon.
The Tennessee Titans just missed the playoffs last season after losing to the Indianapolis Colts in the final week 33-17. They finished the season with a record of 9-7. The Titans overcame early struggles on offense and several injuries to make a late push. Tennessee’s offensive rankings in 2018 weren’t impressive, as they were ranked 25th in total yards, 29th in passing, and 27th in points. They then lost their offensive coordinator this offseason when Matt Lafleur signed on to be the next Green Bay Packers head coach. Mike Vrabel, promoted tight ends assistant Arthur Smith to fill the vacated position.
What can I say about this Red Sox team? They won the World Series. The level at which they played was insane. As a Yankees fan, I’m well aware that no lead was safe when it came to the Red Sox last year, they could always pull something out of their hat. When it comes to wins for this season, the Red Sox and Yankees have the highest projected win totals at 95.5. You just know it’s going to be a battle all season long.
The city of Philadelphia is on fire right now and it came with a $330 million price tag. If you have lived under a rock for the last few weeks or been out of the country on extended leave, the Philadelphia Phillies signed Bryce Harper to a 13 year, $330 million contract, which is the largest contract in baseball history and makes him one of the highest paid athletes on the planet. Even without the Harper signing, the Phillies have had one of the best off-seasons in recent memory, signing one of the best hitting catchers in the game, while also adding some clarity to their bullpen. And it doesn’t stop there.
Grayson Pinney explains why the Patriots are unlikely to reunite with Jamie Collins this off-season.
Andy Morphew believes the Oakland Raiders could pull of a trade with the Arizona Cardinals for the top pick in the draft.
The Philadelphia Eagles acquired DeSean Jackson from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and signed him to a three-year, $27 million contract.
The New York Jets agreed to terms on contracts with external free agent receivers Jamison Crowder and Josh Bellamy, per NFL Network.
