Week five was a weird week with a ton of close games and some unexpected winners. The Patriots still hold the top spot but there was a ton of movement throughout the rankings.

The 2019 NFL season is already a quarter of the way finished and team’s identity are starting to shape into form. At this point, there are only three undefeated teams left in the New England Patriots, Kansas City Chiefs and surprisingly the San Francisco 49ers. Meanwhile, there are six winless teams and almost half the league is sitting at 2-2. If this course continues, the playoff race will be as exciting as ever, but what have we learned over the first quarter of the season? There was a lot movement in my rankings this week but that is a result of it still being early in the season and still finding out the identity of teams. The Giants are the biggest movers this week as they moved up nine spots with the play of Daniel Jones.
It is time for some Monday Night Football. This week will be a lot better than last week’s game. Let’s be honest last weeks game was brutal. Watching Trevor Siemian and then Luke Falk play quarterback was not exciting. This game might not be as exciting as watching Patrick Mahomes, but at least Mitchell Trubisky and Case Keenum will do more than just dump the ball off to the running back. Week two was a reality check for most and reminded us how difficult it is to maintain success in the NFL. While the numbers weren’t as wild this week, there were still several solid rookie performances to highlight and new players who shined starting with a couple of honorable mentions.
Week One is in the books and unfortunately, the injury page in that book got several more entries. Let’s take a look at a few of them.
Well, week one has come and gone. While some games were close and others blowouts, on the defensive side of the ball, players started to stand out and make a mark right off the bat for their teams. In a review of last week’s edition, we saw the unfortunate injury bug claim Johnathan Allen after playing only seven snaps when he injured his knee. Richard Sherman though shined with five tackles, four solos, two pass deflections and an interception for a pick-six! Zach Cunningham has five tackles against New Orleans and my sleeper pick of Jerome Baker logged eight tackles, just shy of making the double-digit mark. Going into week two the matchups are looking juicy for these guys listed below!
