Week 10. It is only four weeks away from the fantasy playoffs and it is more important than ever to figure out the matchups we should be targeting to help us bring home that W. Do not be the person who benches the player about to go off because he had a bad game recently. Based on this week’s matchups, I recommend that you start or sit the following players.
Has anyone noticed that my “boom” plays go boom a week or two after I feature them? So unfortunate in the timing. Albert Wilson, c’mon man! Went off this past week. And don’t even get me started on Mason Crosby. Recommended him last week, and he saw plenty of opportunities and missed everything. If he hit all 6 of his kicks including his extra point attempt he would’ve had 21 points. 21. From a kicker. Then he goes and scores 17 against the Niners the next week.
We are just about halfway through the season heading into week six, and our matchups become more critical. In these next few weeks, some will clinch a playoff berth and some will be eliminated from contention. That is why we must always be trying to improve our teams and do what we can to put the best possible starting lineup out there. First and foremost, always start the guys filling in for injured players. I am not going to tell you to start T.J. Yeldon and Tevin Coleman because that is too obvious, those guys should be in everyone’s lineups. However, there are tons of players with great matchups this week so we have to make sure we pinpoint those matchups and capitalize.
The art of trading in fantasy football isn’t simple. Yet, as the waiver wire thins out, trading becomes nearly the only way to turn things around. The trouble with trading is two-fold. First, you have to identify the targets that you want to acquire and the ones you want to trade away. Looking at current usage, their upcoming strength of schedule and their potential upside can all help you with this process. However, the second step involves negotiation. One of the more frustrating parts is that everything could seemingly line up for your offer, and yet all your work can be undone with a simple “no.” While this article can’t really help you with the latter of those two problems, it can definitely help you identify some potential targets.
The Seattle Seahawks look to get back to the postseason in 2018-19. The NFC is tough and the Seahawks lost some key players including a few from the vaunted Legion of Boom. Can Pete Carroll and his crew get this team back to its former glory?
