Introducing Your 2019 Western Conference All-Stars

As a basketball fan, I’ve always found the NBA All-Star Weekend to be one of the more interesting times of the year. It allows me to watch the top talents of the league play without putting me in a position to seriously root for or against either team. It puts all of the league’s best players in a one-game situation where it’s the best of the best against the best of the best. It immortalizes otherwise-forgotten players such as Jason Kapono and Jeremy Evans through the Three-Point Contest and the Slam Dunk Contest. But perhaps the most important thing it does is recognize, in a semi-official capacity, who the best standout performers in the NBA are in any given season.

Basketball – A Global Game – Part Three

In my three-part series on Basketball throughout the world, I will take a look at all FIBA-recognized countries and the best players from those countries. In part one we looked at 101-213. In part two we looked at numbers 51-100 as we continued our countdown. Most of these players you will know from countries you’ve actually heard of. He averaged 23.5 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 9.8 assists per game. Here is your recap of each game from this week.

I Was Wrong: How the Western Conference Has Blown Me Away

At the beginning of the season, I made various predictions about the Western Conference. Like many other NBA fans, I have been blown away by how the Western Conference has panned out. The Golden State Warriors falling apart, Carmelo Anthony leaves the Houston Rockets, and as of right now the Los Angeles Clippers in the top of the standings?!

Los Angeles Lakers @ Denver Nuggets Preview

The Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets will meet for the second time this year, with the Lakers getting the W in their earlier match-up this season. Denver was victorious when the sides played each other in preseason, however. While they allowed Los Angeles to dominate the first half, the Nuggets were able to fight back from an 18 point deficit at the start of the second half. Poorly timed turnovers and fouls late in the game gave them just enough to escape with a 113-111 win.
