The first round of the 2019 NFL draft had several surprise moments. One of the more surprising things was all the good talent that slipped into the second round. Teams will have plenty of opportunities to try and trade up for a first round talent that slipped for whatever reason. With the second night of the draft just a few hours away, here is a predictive mock draft for the second round.
Even with round one already wrapped up, there are still many great players left. There were many players who weren’t even expected to go in the first, such as Tytus Howard, L.J. Collier, and Kaleb McGary. While those players were taken off the board, there were many players who were better prospects as the same position, such as Cody Ford, Dre’Mont Jones, and Jawaan Taylor.

The Cowboys need help on the defensive side. Offensively speaking, they are pretty set outside of some late-round depth. The Cowboys need to focus on the defensive line and the secondary. The Cowboys traded their first-round pick to the Raiders for Amari Cooper so the Cowboys may miss the bulk of the loaded defensive line class.
The 2019 NFL Draft is going to be happening in less than a week and all the organizations are preparing their draft plans to fill their needs. Some organizations draft really well and it helps them have good seasons while others fail to address needs that make them have to wait another year. The war rooms are going to get crazy and the player’s emotions are going to be at a high, but before that let’s take a look at one of the players.
