What a season thus far for Buddy Hield and the entire Sacramento Kings organization. It’s no secret that the Kings are at the top of most people’s list as the surprise team of the NBA as we enter the midway point of the season. The team is having success not many people had anticipated as of right now are .500 at 21-21 and sitting right outside the playoff picture in the 9th spot in the tough western conference.

Tonight, the Los Angeles Lakers will be traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah to take on the Jazz in what should be an exciting matchup. Currently, the eight teams holding playoff spots in the West are separated by only 5.5 games and a win for either team could play a big role in the Western Conference playoff race. The Lakers and Jazz hold the 8th and 9th playoff spots in the conference and are only separated by two games.

The Los Angeles Lakers have had a couple of second overall picks in the draft over the years. They also have had a few steals in the draft too. Now these players are showing what they are made of, and some of these players are making other teams regret not taking them in the draft before the Lakers did.

Since the offseason, ESPN analyst Jalen Rose has been saying that this Denver Nuggets team can be a strong contender – a dark horse, able to hold its own even with the front runner Rockets and Warriors.

If there’s one thing that’s talked about more than anything when it comes to basketball, it’s ‘the GOAT question’. Who is the greatest of all-time? Almost everyone says either LeBron James or Michael Jordan, with the occasional instance of Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, or Kobe Bryant.

Here are my four takeaways from the Heat’s 115-99 win over the Boston Celtics.

Following tonight’s disappointing loss to the Miami Heat, there were few positives to take away from the game. One of

In the past, I’ve heard people debating this when it was a hot topic. Is LeBron James really more than an athlete or not? About a year ago, ESPN broadcast journalist, Carry Champion interviewed LeBron James and Kevin Durant. Carry Champion told LeBron “you’re talking about hate and crime, we are at a watershed moment in this country and we cannot deny that we are very divided especially in the political arena. How do you describe the climate for an athlete with the platform nowadays that want to talk about what’s happening in our world?” LeBron went on to say the President is “someone who doesn’t understand the people—and really don’t give a [****] about the people.”

When NBA fans hear ‘Derrick Rose’ the first thing many think of is the horrendous list of injuries he’s endured throughout his career. The youngest MVP in NBA history began his ordeal with injuries right after his MVP season in 2011 with the Chicago Bulls. Every season since, Rose faced injury after injury, many of which were serious and believed to be career-ending. Now, with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Rose has blossomed into a player fans thought they’d never see again. During Rose’s return to Chicago on December 26, he was showered with MVP chants from his hometown fans. Who would have ever thought D-Rose would have such a comeback? How did he do it?

Here’s my four takeaways from the Miami Heat’s 103-99 loss to the Denver Nuggets.
Did the Los Angeles Lakers make the right decision by drafting Lonzo Ball over De’Aaron Fox? Let’s compare the 2nd and 5th overall picks in the 2017 NBA Draft and see, a year later, who has started his career off better.
