These next few weeks are going to be the difference between making the playoffs and focusing on the next season and daily fantasy sports. It is crucial that we roll out the best lineups possible and exploit the matchups that are screaming elite production. This week the Steelers, Raiders, Seahawks, and Packers are on a bye so we need to dig deep to fill those empty roster spots with players who are going to produce in their absence. Due mainly to their matchups this week, the following are the players I recommend starting and sitting for Week 7 to give you an edge at bringing home the W.

We spend a lot of time analyzing players and matchups so that we can gain an advantage over our opponents. We try to figure out why things happened the way that they did and what we can learn from it to help us in the future. We dig deeper so that we can pinpoint matchups to target and start players that we might not be starting every week. I am not going to tell you to start Patrick Mahomes and Drew Brees, or Odell Beckham Jr. and Michael Thomas. That is a waste of both my time and yours. So let’s shy away from the obvious and figure out who needs to be in your lineups this week.

Buying, Selling, and Trading on the Fantasy Market – Week 4

Ah, yes, trading in fantasy football. One of the things that can give hope to the hopeless or the bored something to do. Although, finding the right deal isn’t always easy. You have to identify players that you can realistically acquire (based on what you’re willing to give up), and then craft an offer that would appeal to your would be trade partner. While the last step is important, the focus of this article is to help you identify players that are worth trading away and trading for. And as always, it’s important to remember that not every trade can fit into the ideal “buy low/sell high” mold. With that being said, it’s time to look at what I’m buying and what I’m selling after three weeks of football.

There seemed to be a trend leaning toward Wide Receiver dominance given the consistency of the guys at the top, but the elite play of the NFL’s best running backs over the past few seasons quickly put a stop to that. When preparing for your draft, you want to separate your running backs into tiers so you can find the best values without sacrificing production. Let’s face it, whether it be Javid best, Theo Riddick or Ameer Abdullah, the Lions have not been able to find a running game since Barry Sanders left town. With Matthew Stafford behind center and an all-time great like Calvin Johnson out wide, this was masked in some sense. But now that Stafford is getting older, and Megatron is in the wind, the running game will become a more important component of the Detroit offense again. The player who the Lions are now counting on to give them a respectable running game is rookie Kerryon Johnson. The running back from Auburn who was the SEC offensive player of the year in 2017.
