The San Jose Sharks have done everything they can to avoid using the word “rebuild” when talking about changes to the team. However, it’s not hard to forget that the Sharks have missed the playoffs for the past two seasons, and changes were coming one way or another.
Capturing the Central Division crown in 2021, the Carolina Hurricanes finished the regular season with 36 victories. One point clear of the second-place Florida Panthers, the team had the third highest point total league wide behind the Colorado Avalanche and the Vegas Golden Knights.
