Of course, it always disappointing to lose in the NBA Finals. Falling short of your goal always hurts. Despite the loss, the Miami Heat still had a great season. They just ran into a great Los Angeles Lakers team with two superstar talents in Anthony Davis and Lebron James.
The Miami Heat had plenty of opportunities to tie this series and fell short. Like last game, Miami showed their defensive toughness early, making it difficult for the Los Angeles Lakers to score in the half-court. However, the Lakers snatched more 50-50 balls and made more plays in the end.
Everyone knew coming into the series that this was going to be a dogfight. The Boston Celtics threw the first punch and had a double-digit lead to start the game. Instead of putting their heads down, the Miami Heat kept fighting. They overcame a 13 point deficit in the first period and a 14-point deficit in the fourth period.
Facing elimination, the Indiana Pacers were not going away without a fight. Just like the other games this series, the Miami Heat jumped out to a double-digit lead and did enough to close the game down the stretch. With the win, Miami advances to the Eastern Conference Semifinals and will face the winner of the Milwaukee Bucks vs Orlando Magic series.
