Once again, it is that magical time of year in the Supercross/Motocross realm where dominos for the following year have already begun to fall. Whether that be contract, injury, or manufacturer information, there is usually something to talk about around this time of year.
For the second weekend in a row, it was Championship Day in Monster Energy Supercross. Both Christian Craig and hometown hero Eli Tomac had clear roads to the 250 West and 450 Titles respectively.
KTM has officially chosen violence for the 50th season of AMA Pro Motocross. Just a hair over a week after Antonio Cairoli declared for the first two rounds of the series, Ryan Dungey is now set for the same schedule with Red Bull KTM.
For the third to last round of Supercross in 2022, the series returned to Foxborough, Massachusetts for the first time since 2018.
Although the season is well past halfway, Sunday marked the first of two Monster Energy Supercross 250 Showdown rounds. The top 250 East and West riders were pitted against each other in a race that has the potential to turn both title battles upside down.
Big news out of the Red Bull KTM camp on Wednesday afternoon. Rider Aaron Plessinger in a practice crash suffered a broken arm, which will in all likelihood end his Supercross campaign.
Supercross has made the shift from west to east, taking over U.S. Bank Stadium Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Not just that, but the 250 East Series officially kicked off on Saturday afternoon as well.
Anaheim 3 was a big round of Supercross for a number of reasons. First and foremost, it was the final time the 250 West Series would run for the next month and a half.

The Sandbox in Southwick made its triumphant return to the AMA Motocross Schedule on Saturday after not taking place in 2020. The 250 Class saw its fifth different winner in five nationals. One of the top 450 championship contenders avoided catastrophe in the points standings, while another did not share that level of fortune at The Wick.
For now the second time in the last three years, “Paul” Cooper Webb has given Red Bull KTM a World Supercross Championship. Outside of a lackluster season opener, Webb once again had a world-class season and put a vice grip on the championship at the halfway point of the season, much like in 2019. Just like in 2019, he would hold the red number plates to the very end of the season and delivered some soul-crushing defeats to rival Ken Roczen. Round two in Atlanta for Supercross would again provide some wild results and great racing. Now there have been four different winners in this stint with a round to go. With title races nearing their conclusions, things were most certainly heated up in Hotlanta.
