Most NBA teams have played ten games in the 2020-2021 season. NBA rookies have had their time to shine during these ten or more games. There have been some rookies who have outperformed their expectations and some who have been disappointing thus far.

Hornets fans have been clamoring for LaMelo Ball to start over Devonte’ Graham. Patrick Champion analyzes whether or not that is a good idea.

Through one game, the Hornets have a big problem: they have 3 starting guards and 2 guard spots. To be clear, it is not as if Charlotte has some of the top tier guards in the league that could all be the top options on another team. They do, however, have three players that make a great case to start.

A team that is stuck in mediocrity is one of the saddest appeals in sports. Teams that can not seem to make up their minds on whether they want to tank or contend. These teams usually find themselves just missing the playoffs or getting knocked out immediately. Therefore, they’re usually selecting mid-first round in the NBA Draft each year.

Majority owner Michael Jordan, general manager Mitch Kupchak, and the rest of Charlotte’s front office must have sensed their fan base’s frustration this offseason because they were much more active. Here are grades for the most critical moves they’ve made so far.

When it comes to comparing the two NBA conferences, there are stark and obvious differences in quality and ability. For years, the western conference has been far more competitive than the east.

The New York Knicks were poised to make a run at Gordon Hayward in free agency, but he instead got $120 million from the Charlotte Hornets. After a great draft week, New York received a bit of a reality check.

With the third pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Charlotte Hornets select, LaMelo Ball, Guard, Illawarra Hawks.

The NBA Draft is less than two weeks away, and pundits still have more questions than answers about it. The 2020 draft class doesn’t appear to be particularly strong, but many teams are hungry to add value to their rosters before the season begins on Dec. 22. So far, all we know for sure is that there will be plenty of surprises on draft night.

The Charlotte Hornets cannot afford another draft-day meltdown. Their management has whiffed on franchise-altering decisions time after time with the likes of Adam Morrison, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Noah Vonleh, and Frank Kaminsky.

The NBA draft is just over a month away. Most teams are already in deep discussions about who they will be adding to their rosters by October.
