Rookie quarterbacks are expected to know a lot of information about the game as soon as they get drafted. However, the rookie year can be a major challenge for any player, especially signal-callers.
Brock Purdy is a name that has been known across college football for the past four years. Purdy has been the starting quarterback at Iowa State since October of 2018 and is the definition of an experienced quarterback. Being a good college starter has taken Purdy a long way, but we’ll see if his game can translate to the NFL.
With most team’s spring games having concluded, we now look forward to the upcoming college football season.
Over the last two seasons, nine quarterbacks have been selected in the first round of the NFL Draft. While it is too early to tell about the 2021 class, there is still plenty to be excited about. Five quarterbacks went within the first 15 picks, including three in the first three selections. The 2022 class has a lot of different options. It’s time to get an early jump on the quarterback class.
