Reacting to the Heat’s Win over the Wizards
The Miami Heat entered Friday’s game determined to win. Miami started the first quarter strong with 40 points in the period. And never looked back from there.

Just four months ago, the Miami Heat were in the NBA Finals. And now, they have one of the worst records in the league. The latest loss coming against the Washington Wizards. After having a 10 point halftime lead, Miami fell apart offensively in the second half. With the loss, Miami falls to 7-14 for the season.
This almost ended up being a bad night for Miami Heat. The team blew an 11-point lead to the Sacramento Kings in the fourth quarter. But thanks to Jimmy Butler’s aggressiveness, and Bam Adebayo’s clutch block, the team was able to seal the victory.
Make that five straight losses for the Miami Heat. After trailing by as many as 18 points, the Heat was able to cut the lead down to single digits in the fourth period. However, the Los Angeles Clippers ended up closing the deal in the end.
Make that back-to-back losses against the Brooklyn Nets. The Miami Heat came out strong defensively, holding the Nets to 41 points in the first half. Unfortunately, the Heat grew cold in the last six minutes of the game
Playing against the star-studded Brooklyn Nets, the odds were already stacked against the Miami Heat. Still, the Heat played with great heart and determination. Unfortunately, turnovers and a missed opportunity to call a timeout late hurt the team.
For the first time this season, the Miami Heat have won two consecutive games. As expected, the Heat were in an early dogfight against the Toronto Raptors.
Monday’s game was starting to look like another letdown for the Miami Heat. The Detroit Pistons jumped out to a 28-9 lead after just seven minutes of action.
Without their top three players, the Miami Heat were in for a battle. However, the team came prepared and competed hard. They had the opportunity to close the game in regulation but the Philadelphia 76ers went on another run to send it to overtime. In the end, the 76ers came out on top. With the loss, Miami falls to 4-5 for the season.
After a rough defensive first half, Miami picked up their defensive intensity and slowed down the Wizards in the second to win the game. Miami is now 4-4 for the season.
