With Anaheim 1 Supercross just a little over a month out, a major retirement has just hit the AMA paddock. 2020 AMA Motocross 450 National Champion, and two-time 250 Regional Supercross Champion Zach Osborne has called it a career.
Antonio Cairoli has been synonymous with European Motocross over the last decade and a half. He is the all-time premier class MXGP winner with 69 Grand Prix wins, 93 in total.
The track that had been the opening round of the year up until last year now closes out the AMA Pro Motocross calendar. Hangtown has been a staple in the sport for over a half-century and its return to the schedule is most certainly welcomed.
A huge day today for the red brand, as Honda picks up their first AMA Motocross title since 2013 with Eli Tomac. Jett Lawrence at just 18 years and change old has won his first championship as a professional rider.
As first reported on by Racer X’s Mitch Kendra, the Team USA entry for the 2021 Motocross Des Nations is officially dead. This large in part due to new COVID-related travel restrictions put in place all across Europe.
The east coast slate of the AMA Motocross schedule came to a close on Saturday. Ironman MX, which had been the season finale from 2015 to 2019, played host to the third to last round in 2021.
Despite the 2022 Supercross tilt being over six months out, a major piece of news just dropped. The Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) announced that their agreement with Supercross’s parent company, FELD Entertainment, will not continue into 2022.
Round two of 12 in AMA Pro Motocross is now in the books from the outskirts of Denver, Colorado. Again, it was a fantastic day of racing as there have now been four different overall winners in two nationals. Recap of the action at Thunder Valley right here.
Days after 250 rider Cameron McAdoo announced that he had a fractured tibia, a duo of new ailments have hit the AMA Motocross Paddock. This time, to a former 450 Supercross Champion. As well as one of McAdoo’s teammates. Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Jason Anderson via himself and his team reported on Instagram that he had suffered a broken hand.
