Kansas City Royals: Selling the team now is the only play for David Glass
With Glass reportedly close to selling the franchise, here is why the timing is right and the deal makes sense.

Notes from the Cowboys’ victory over the Texans on Saturday.
The Vancouver Canucks team has been through a tough 4 years. After Henrik and Daniel Sedin retired at the end of the 2017-2018 season, Trevor Linden followed suit at the end of the 2018-2019 season, leaving as president of hockey operations, being replaced by Jim Benning. This is the third time in Canucks’ history they have failed to make the playoffs for four consecutive years. The team has never missed the playoffs for five years consecutively. But all is not dark in Vancouver.
Royal Portrush Golf Club located in Northern Ireland about an hour from Belfast will play host to The Open Championship for the first time since 1951. The last time it hosted a notable tournament was in 2012 for the Irish Open. The weather should play a factor, specifically the wind as it is a links course and the wind can pick up dramatically in the blink of an eye. Many golfers have high hopes heading into the final major of the year, including four-time major winner Rory McIlroy who will be returning to his homeland and a course he’s very familiar with. McIlroy set the Dunluce course record by shooting an 11-under 61 back in 2005. The course is a little different than it was then. The Dunluce links course has since been redesigned and lengthened. It is now a Par 71, 7,344 yards. Adding to the excitement, there’s expected to be record setting crowds as The Open has sold out for the first time in its 148-year history. The stage and tee times are set for one of the biggest events in Northern Ireland history. With that said, let’s get into some golfers to target for DFS to help win us some cash.
For the second week in a row, we have a new course and a new tournament to the PGA Tour. This week it’s the 3M Open that will be hosted by TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota. The course is a Par 71, 7,468 yards with bentgrass greens, 27 water hazards, and 72 bunkers. The course served as host to the PGA Tour Champions event, the 3M Championship from 2001 to 2018. Late in 2018, Tom Lehman and PGA Tour staff began designing and renovating the course to make it more challenging and up to standards for PGA Tour play. The course has been lengthened and short par 5s have now become long par 4s. We still should see a lot of low scores, but the water hazards and bunkers will be enough to keep the cut line reasonable. Unlike last week, where it was at a ridiculously low marker. With all of that said, let’s get into some DFS picks I like for this week’s Fourth of July tournament, the 3M Open.
Passionate golf fans throughout the state of Michigan are jumping with joy to see big-time golf back in Michigan. The state hasn’t hosted a PGA Tour event since Tiger Woods won the Buick Open for the third time in 2009. Mainly due to the automotive industry going down the tubes and eventually causing the population to decrease and the city of Detroit to file America’s largest municipal bankruptcy on July 18, 2013. So, this is more than just a tournament to a lot of Michigan natives. This symbolizes sort of a restoration or upswing in prominence and stability for the city of Detroit, Michigan. The Rocket Mortgage Classic or “Detroit’s major” as it reads from a billboard hanging above 7 Mile Road, will mark the first PGA Tour event ever within the city limits of Detroit.
Let’s start with a sports trivia question. What do the following athletes have in common?
Doug Baldwin, Adrian Peterson, Devonta Freeman, Robinson Cano, Tiger Woods, Daniel Briere, Cliff Lee, Chris Archer, Zach Ertz, Nick Bosa
If you said they all missed time from their respective sports because of treatment for a core muscle injury commonly mistakenly known as a sports hernia you would be correct.
Justin Thomas not making the cut might be the biggest surprise of the tournament but there are a few others as well. Gary Woodland leading the field at 11 under is somewhat surprising, considering he had never finished above sixth place in a Major (2018 PGA Championship). and Justin Rose in second place at -10. Many golfers still have hopes of taking the iconic walk down the 18th-hole fairway along the Pacific Ocean, with themselves in position to win the U.S. Open. Let’s take a look at some golfers to target for the final round of the tournament and the showdown slate on Draftkings.

Mets fans have had it rough this year, to say the least. Opening up the year with a 7-3 start, the Kings of Queens felt like Doug Heffernan eating pizza.
