The Los Angeles Chargers are coming off yet another victory in week 10. They are 7-2 heading into week 11. Joey Bosa is back and will play on a snap count today against the Denver Broncos. When Bosa and Melvin Ingram are on the field at the same time, they tend to wreak havoc. It is great news for the Chargers and exciting news for the fans. Whenever an elite player comes back from injury, it’s always a plus, especially when your team is on the verge of 1st place in the AFC.
At this point, there is no question that LeBron James is one of the greatest NBA players of all time, especially when considering the countless achievements throughout his 16-year NBA career. One of his most impressive achievements is passing Wilt Chamberlain on the NBA all-time scoring list.
The NFL is a crazy and wild place. A team could win the super bowl one year then be sub .500 the next year. While football may be a team sport certain individuals help their teams way more than any other player. That one player is usually referred to as the most valuable player or MVP. But some players impact the game so greatly that it goes beyond just their teams MVP but instead the leagues most valuable player.
It is difficult to be a fan of Major League Baseball and not know the name Larry Walker. If you talk to the Colorado faithful about the name, it is an aspect of Denver sports legend. The Major League Baseball Hall of Fame nominee list includes Walker for the ninth time. It means because of the reduction in eligibility, from 15 years to 10 years, Walker has only two total attempts to be inducted. Will his chances continue to grow this year?
When looking at the MVP race this NFL season, you tend to hear the same names mentioned as the top candidates. Names such as Todd Gurley, Drew Brees, Patrick Mahomes, and Philip Rivers. These are some of the names that come to mind. However, there is a player that has been playing outstanding football, but is not receiving nearly the amount of recognition the players I listed are. The player I am speaking so highly of is Ben Roethlisberger.
In a crowded field of 1st-timers on the ballot that includes Mariano Rivera and Roy Halladay, can Todd Helton become the first Rockie enshrined in Cooperstown? Or is the Coors Effect too much to overcome?
It’s still very early in the NBA season to get carried away with a team but the Sacramento Kings are off to the most surprising 8-6 start of any NBA team I can remember. After Monday night’s win over the San Antonio Spurs, a lot more people are starting to take notice.
