Corrigan's Gambling Corner: Week Two
The over not hitting in the National Championship game is a damn shame. Also, how in the hell did the Ravens get blown out by the Titans? Luckily, the year is young.

After 19 weeks of football, we are down to the final four. The six seed Tennessee Titans and two seed Kansas City Chiefs will battle to represent the AFC while the one seed San Francisco 49ers and two seed Green Bay Packers will battle to represent the NFC in Super Bowl 54. Both games are rematches from the regular season with the Titans and 49ers pulling out the victory. Will the outcomes be the same Sunday? We shall see.
Wild Card weekend was full of great games, all of which ended as a one-possession game. Three of the four wild card teams won, upsetting some potential Superbowl favorites in the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots. For those of you who lost money on Saints or Patriots futures bets, this weekend is a great opportunity to make it back.
With 2019 ending it is time to wipe the slate. I started off super hot when I started Corrigan’s Gambling Corner, and had a rapid decline. Overall, I finished the year with a record of 23-21-3.
The 2019 NFL regular season is over and now just 12 teams remain in the chase for a Super Bowl trophy. Wild Card weekend starts tomorrow and we have four games over the next two days, where it’s simple: win or go home! Many betters have already put money down on futures bets for conference champions and Super Bowl winners. However, let’s not miss out on the great action in this weekend’s games.
It’s week 17 and that means the 2019 NFL season is coming to an end. The playoff picture has cleared up in the NFC, as five teams have punched their ticket while the Eagles are in with a win over the Giants while the Cowboys are in with a win and an Eagles’ loss. In the AFC, five teams have punched their ticket as the Ravens have locked up the top seed while three teams, the Titans, Steelers, and Raiders all still have a shot to claim that last wild card spot. With all 16 games on Sunday for the only week this season, sports betters will be glued to the television all day long.
Hope everyone has a great holiday break, I took last week off from gambling content, because we need a fresh start. I have gone 0-6-1 in my past seven. tarnishing my once proud record. That does not mean I will quit. Let’s finish off 2019 strong.
Two weeks to go in the 2019 NFL season and the playoff picture is starting to come together. The most important game this week is between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles. The winner of that game will control their destiny in the NFC East division race. With several critical games this week now is the time to put down some money to buy extra Christmas presents.
With three weeks to go in the 2019 NFL season, a few teams have locked in a playoff spot while a few more can clinch a playoff berth with a win this weekend. There are six games this weekend where both teams are mathematically still involved in the playoff picture, either fighting for a first-round bye, division title, or a wild-card spot. This includes the Sunday night game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers, where both teams enter the weekend in the two wild-card spots in the AFC playoff picture. With so many critical games this weekend, expect a lot of entertaining games with close outcomes.
Just forget that last week existed. An absolutely brutal week for my picks and my reputation. All my picks were not even CLOSE. But even with that, we push through.
It’s week 14 and that means we have four weeks left in the 2019 NFL regular season. A handful of teams have been eliminated from the playoffs while a few can lock up playoff spots tomorrow. There are several games this week with serious playoff implications including the Sunday night game between the Seattle Seahawks and Los Angles Rams. With so many critical games this weekend, expect a lot of entertaining games with close outcomes.
Hopefully, everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving and didn’t beat the hell out of anyone on Black Friday. If you got to enjoy the three Thanksgiving games, all three were entertaining, unless you’re a Cowboys fan then just two were entertaining. The underdog covered in two of the three games with the Falcons coming up a point or two short of covering the spread in their game against the Saints. With the NFL playoffs a little more than a month away, there should be plenty of competitive games this week.
