Corrigan's Gambling Corner: 2020 Week One

Daniel Corrigan | January 7th, 2020

With 2019 ending it is time to wipe the slate. I started off super hot when I started Corrigan’s Gambling Corner and had a rapid decline. Overall, I finished the year with a record of 23-21-3.

Life Is Too Short To Bet The Under, Over Of The Week: 1/13/20 Clemson v LSU (O/U 69.5)

Starting off the new year with a big number, both teams have unbelievable offenses. And while Clemson has an unbelievable defense, they are not playing Ohio State’s unbelievable defense. LSU has a shaky defense, but they have Joe Burrow, which cancels out everything good a team does on defense.

My Lock Of The Week: 1/7/20: Pistons (-2) v Cavs

The Cavaliers stinnnnnnnnnnnnnnk. They have some problems on the court and in the locker room. Kevin Love wants out so bad, Collin Sexton is the worst point guard ever, and Darius Garland is too inconsistent so far in his career. As a Cavaliers fan, it always hurts to do this, but I would never bet the Cavs to cover.

My Other Lock Of The Week: 1/11/20: Titans v Ravens (-10)

The Titans may have ended the Tom Brady Patriots dynasty with a 20-13 victory in Foxborough. But man are the Ravens just that good. I think they may win by 25+! It may be close to start with Derrick Henry pounding the ball up the middle, but I don’t see anyone slowing down Lamar Jackson right now.
