Logan Davidson was born December 26, 1997, in Charlotte, North Carolina. His father Mark played at Clemson in 1982 and played six years in the majors for the Twins and Astros. Mark earned a World Series ring with the Twins in 1987. Logan lettered all four years at a Providence High School while being an excellent two-way star. He led Providence to a state title his junior year while being great at the plate and on the mound, and was selected as an All-American and won the North Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year his senior season. During this season, Davidson batted .456 with eight home runs, 16 doubles, 42 runs scored, and 47 RBI, while also boasting a 10-0 record with two saves, a 1.28 ERA, and 75 strikeouts in 61 innings on the mound. Following this season, Davidson signed with Clemson and was also drafted in the 30th round by the Philadelphia Phillies, but elected to go to Clemson.

Kameron Misner was born January 8, 1998, to Terry and Stephanie Misner in Poplar Bluff, MO. Misner was a two-way player in high school at Poplar Bluff High School, hitting .422 with eight home runs, 35 RBI, and stealing 29 bases, while also pitching to a 2.13 ERA and striking out 48 in 32 innings his senior year. This performance earned him the Semo Conference Player of the Year and also First Team All-State honors for Missouri and an Honorable Mention All-American. Following this stellar senior season, Misner was selected in the 33rd round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft by the Kansas City Royals but elected to instead commit to Missouri.
Jeffrey Joseph “JJ” Bleday is a junior outfielder at Vanderbilt University. He was born November 10, 1997 to Raymond and Kathy Bleday in Danville, PA. Bleday earned letters in baseball all four years in high school, while also lettering twice in golf and swimming. He holds six swimming records at his first high school, Titusville High School in Titusville, PA. After his freshman and sophomore years at Titusville, Bleday transferred to A. Crawford Mosley High School in Lynn Haven, Florida for his junior and senior years.

Center fielder Nick Senzel, the Cincinnati Reds’ top prospect and MLB Pipeline’s No. 5 overall prospect, is getting the call to the show on Friday. The Reds are sitting in the cellar of the NL Central with a record of 13-18, as of May 2. Senzel will be a boost to the Reds offense and hopefully boost Cincinnati’s attendance at Great American Ballpark. Their average attendance per game so far this year is just over 15,000. The Reds offense right now is ranked 25th in the league overall, and last in batting average with .210. Their best hitters are Joey Votto and Jesse Winker, with batting averages of .232 and .224, respectively. Winker has 13 RBI and 8 home runs with a .805 OPS.
On Tuesday night, CC Sabathia became just the 17th pitcher of all-time to reach the 3,000 career strikeout plateau. Striking out a former battery mate in Diamondbacks’ John Ryan Murphy, who was a backup catcher for the Yankees from 2013-15, for his 3,000th strikeout, Sabathia further made his case for the Hall of Fame. Sabathia is the first pitcher since John Smoltz in 2008 to reach the milestone.

The Braves bullpen is in desperate need of help, holding a 5.17 ERA, allowing almost six walks per nine, and allowing a .297 batting average on balls in play (BABIP) in 62.2 innings pitched this season. The Braves have also lost their closer, Arodys Vizcaino, to season-ending shoulder surgery, which opens the door even more for them to look internally and externally for improvements on the bullpen. What’s an external option, you might ask? Well, it couldn’t be the guy who saved 42 games last year while pitching to a 2.74 and striking out 96 at the age of 30, could it? No way that guy is still a free agent, right? Someone had to have signed him by now, three weeks into the regular season. Well no one has, and Craig Kimbrel is still a free agent, and now is the perfect time for him to return to the team he started with and won the Rookie of the Year with.
