For the second week in a row, we have a new course and a new tournament to the PGA Tour. This week it’s the 3M Open that will be hosted by TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota. The course is a Par 71, 7,468 yards with bentgrass greens, 27 water hazards, and 72 bunkers. The course served as host to the PGA Tour Champions event, the 3M Championship from 2001 to 2018. Late in 2018, Tom Lehman and PGA Tour staff began designing and renovating the course to make it more challenging and up to standards for PGA Tour play. The course has been lengthened and short par 5s have now become long par 4s. We still should see a lot of low scores, but the water hazards and bunkers will be enough to keep the cut line reasonable. Unlike last week, where it was at a ridiculously low marker. With all of that said, let’s get into some DFS picks I like for this week’s Fourth of July tournament, the 3M Open.
Another fully loaded Tuesday, jam-packed with every team in action tonight. As many baseball fans, friends, and family of Tyler Skaggs mourn his passing, the Angels will have their first game since the terrible tragedy. That will be must-see baseball as I will be looking forward to seeing them honor him in some fashion tonight. With that said, there are a lot of different directions we can go as far as lineup constructions. Let’s dive in and look at some players to target for DFS.
To me, it is clearly time to spend up for the big hitters tonight. With only five games on the menu, the pitching options are few and far between. I’ve narrowed down a couple that I will be targeting and have included some of the hitters I like for tonight. It’s a new month and the same old grind. Let’s get into some Pitching and Core Hitters to target for tonight.
Welcome in. We have a nice main slate of nine games to go ahead and dive into. All of the games beginning at 1:05 E.T are available to select players from, leaving off the games starting at 4:05 E.T. and later. Please make sure to check the “Other Targets” sections of the article. I provide those as key points but don’t go into detail about the players because sometimes they are obvious. Passionate golf fans throughout the state of Michigan are jumping with joy to see big-time golf back in Michigan. The state hasn’t hosted a PGA Tour event since Tiger Woods won the Buick Open for the third time in 2009. Mainly due to the automotive industry going down the tubes and eventually causing the population to decrease and the city of Detroit to file America’s largest municipal bankruptcy on July 18, 2013. So, this is more than just a tournament to a lot of Michigan natives. This symbolizes sort of a restoration or upswing in prominence and stability for the city of Detroit, Michigan. The Rocket Mortgage Classic or “Detroit’s major” as it reads from a billboard hanging above 7 Mile Road, will mark the first PGA Tour event ever within the city limits of Detroit.
You need to set your lineups. So, let’s get right into some picks for this huge Tuesday night slate of games.

Meanwhile, the wind should be blowing heavily straight out to center at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Well, it’s one of those days where there are a ton of hitters and pitchers that make for viable options because it’s a full slate of games tonight. I’ve done my best job to try to pinpoint some players you can use in all formats. Join me as I take a look at which pitchers to target, two bats, and two stacks.
