The Celtics Smoke the Suns, Get Back to their Winning Ways

Coming off a 100-99 loss to the Sacramento Kings (in which the Kings ended the 10 game Celtics winning streak) and playing against a depleted Suns roster, the Celtics had to play on the second night of a back to back in Phoenix. Already 1-1 on a five-game road trip, the Celtics didn’t want to drop this game against the Suns with tough games upcoming versus the Clippers and Nuggets. Scoring 99 points again, the Celtic’s turned this one into a victory with strong backcourt and bench play.

The Boston Celtics Extend Their Winning Streak to 9 games

The Eastern Conference bottom-dweller Washington Wizards attempted to end the Celtics early season win streak on a cold November night. However, the Celtics outshot the Wizards winning 140-133 in TD Garden. This was the first game since 1992 that the Celtics as a franchise had scored 140 points.

The NCAA Has A Scheduling Problem

Every year when it comes to playoff rankings, we talk about the non-conference schedule. While we talk about it being important, we also ignore our own opinions on that when it comes to how we rank and perceive teams when it comes to the playoff rankings. Consistently, we have some teams that are wiling to schedule tough opponents every year, some who are willing to but never as a true road team, and some who refuse. Until we fix the method of scheduling in college football, we are never going to solve this.
