NBA Family Thanksgiving Dinner

Thanksgiving is finally upon us, and there’s a lot to be thankful for. We’re thankful for our families, lives, and any other number of things. I personally have a lot to be thankful for. One of those things being the NBA. It’s been a brutal few months as a Denver sports fan. Watching the Colorado Rockies take a massive step back from last season – failing to make the playoffs – and the Denver Broncos facing a 3-8 record. Having the NBA and the Denver Nuggets back has been a nice change of pace from all the losing that’s been happening in the last few months. It also got me thinking, which active NBA players I would want at my Thanksgiving dinner.

Running the Denver Broncos is a Zero-Sum Game

Being a fan of the Denver Broncos is challenging right now. Top to bottom, the whole team is a complete mess. The ownership is four people running a one-man position and running with the wrong mentality. The Bowlen family is in shambles and is consistently trying to sabotage one another. The coaching staff is showing their inexperience. The team, as a whole, lacks talent and direction. The worst part, no matter what the organization does, the fans aren’t going to like it and call for everyone’s head no matter what.

Evaluating the Nuggets Options at Small Forward

Last year the Denver Nuggets were one of the deepest teams in the league. Managing to have the most games lost due to injury of any team in the league and still finishing with the second-best record in the Western Conference is a true testament to that. It's Michael Porter Jr. Time in Denver

It has been 11 months since Michael Porter Jr heard his name called with the 14th pick by the Denver Nuggets in the 2018 NBA Draft. After redshirting his rookie year as he recovers from a pretty severe back injury, Porter spoke to the media during his exit interviews. He had good news for all Nuggets fans answering if he had been fully cleared by his doctors to play in Summer League by saying, “yeah, I’m expected to play in Summer League, and I can’t wait for that.”
